Accountability Partner
Therefore, encourage each other, and build each other up — just as you are doing.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
As believers, we are not to walk alone through this life. We are to have accountability partners walking along-side us, listening to us and we listening to them. What does this have to do with being believers?
Rav Sha’ul, the Apostle Paul, outlines very clearly the purposes for having an accountability partner – to encourage and build-up each other, as we face life’s little and large obstacles and joys. Often an accountability partner just needs to listen to us; through our saying aloud what we are facing, we often come to the answers we need, at the time. Sometimes a single encouraging, empathetic word is all that is needed.
Abba B’Shamayim, Heavenly Father, thank you for providing accountability partners for all of us. I pray that for anyone of us who has not yet discovered our partners, will be attentive to Your Word and be led to them. B’Shem Adonai Yeshua, Mashichainu, our Messiah, Amen.
