OMER DAY 12

Is suffering a test of faith?

“Stand against him, firm in your trust, knowing that your brothers throughout the world are going through the same kinds of suffering. You will have to suffer only a little while; after that, God, who is full of grace, the one who called you to his eternal glory in union with the Messiah, will himself restore, establish and strengthen you and make you firm.”

1 Kefa/1 Peter 5:9,10

As Scripture shares with us, Adonai uses events that cause suffering to strengthen our faith. This does not mean that Adonai creates the suffering; rather, He will use whatever He chooses to help us strengthen our faith. If you are suffering right now, I pray you will not let go of Adonai, no matter how difficult is the suffering. Know that He will never let go of you. And, rest assured, He will help you find a way out of your suffering, if not in your time frame, then His.

Abba B’Shamayim, Heavenly Father, thank you for allowing me to help others to better understand the relationship they have with you. I believe in my relationship with You. In suffering, in distress, in anguish, El Shaddai, Father Almighty, hear my prayers. Strengthen my faith. Fill me with courage. You are my help, my support. Keep me in the shadow of your wings. B’Shem Adonai Yeshua, Mashichainu, our Messiah, Amen.
