OMER DAY 15

Does suffering build character?

“But not only that, let us also boast in our troubles; because we know that trouble produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope; and this hope does not let us down, because God’s love for us has already been poured out in our hearts through the Ruach HaKadosh who has been given to us.”

Romans 5:3-5

As today’s Scripture shares with us, when we suffer, for whatever reason, our endurance increases, as long as we journey through these troubles. As our endurance increases, our character grows stronger, resulting in an increase in hope. Our hope resides in the Blessed Holy Spirit of our Living God. Relying on Him to stay with us and guide us through our struggles, we will grow closer to Adonai. This is a truth.

Abba B’Shamayim, Heavenly Father, give us the courage and strength to face the trials of life. We believe that You are the living God walking beside us. You know everything about us, our secrets, our thoughts and know our needs even before we ask You. ADONAI, hear our prayers and forgive us for the faults we have committed against you. (Psalm 139: 1-18) B’Shem Adonai Yeshua, Mashichainu, our Messiah, Amen.
