Suffering and Redemption
“It is his doing that you are united with the Messiah Yeshua. He has become wisdom for us from God, and righteousness and holiness and redemption as well!”
1 Corinthians 1:30
When we were still sinners, Adonai Yeshua, the Lord Jesus, died for us. The shedding of His blood brought about our redemption. Do we all understand what this means?
When Adonai, our Holy God, came to earth in the body of our Messiah, Adonai Yeshua, He allowed Himself to suffer on the cross. His suffering, death and resurrection brought about our redemption. We receive this, when we admit Him into our lives, recant our sinful behaviour and begin to step forward on His path, following His commandments. We have accepted His love and we submit ours to Him. Thus, His suffering brought about our redemption. Think about this carefully.
Abba B’Shamayim, Heavenly Father, how may we ever thank you enough, for the suffering you went through on the cross, so many years ago. Thank you so much for your granting us redemption of our sinful behaviour and removing the punishment for those sins. B’Shem Adonai Yeshua, Mashichainu, our Messiah, Amen.
