Why are some Believers Hypocrites?
“If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ and hates his brother, he is a liar. For if a person does not love his brother, whom he has seen, then he cannot love God, whom he has not seen.”
1 John 4:20
Now this is a dicey question. Why would any Christians be hypocrites? Is there a simple answer to this question? I sincerely doubt it. Hypocrisy is found in every one, who has not had a complete change of heart. As believers, we claim to have a complete change of heart and, yet, we still engage in those behaviours that signal to others our hypocrisy. Are we aware of those moments in our lives, when we turn from the Path Adonai has placed us on and slide into the ditch on either side? Unless we come to terms with these moments, repent of those behaviours and signal to Him our desire to walk faithfully on His Path, we will continue to be hypocrites, until the day we die.
Abba B’Shamayim, Heavenly Father, thank you for helping each of us come to terms with those behaviours that make us hypocrites. Thank You for Your guidance and leadership as we strive to be perfect, as You have commended us to be. We are so grateful You are with us. B’Shem Adonai Yeshua, Mashichainu, our Messiah, Amen.
