OMER DAY 24

Accountability – Patience

Be still before Adonai; wait patiently till he comes. Don’t be upset by those whose way
succeeds because of their wicked plans. Stop being angry, put aside rage, and don’t be upset — it leads to evil.

Psalm 37:7,8

Have you ever been taught to avoid asking for patience? When I became a believer, that was one of the first teachings given to me. It took me a while to clearly understand why I was taught this, as the explanation was very vague. However, without patience, we will naturally gravitate towards anger and, eventually, to violence. Patience is an essential element of being true to our beliefs. Others around us will challenge our beliefs, while others will verbally, if not physically, attack us for not following their beliefs. Ask Adonai to help you learn patience and be open to the ways in which this will be developed.

Abba B’Shamayim, Heavenly Father, having patience is an essential part of believing in you. We know that patience does not come naturally to us, but we pray You will assist us in its development. B’Shem Adonai Yeshua, Mashichainu, our Messiah, Amen.
