Accountability – Reading His Word
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is valuable for teaching the truth, convicting of sin, correcting faults and training in right living.”
2 Timothy 3:16
You would think that reading Scripture, on a daily basis, would be second nature for believers. However, many of us do not do that. Our lives are so drawn to our work, our play, our family lives, we do not seem to have the time to engage in this essential activity. This is where all the other aspects of accountability come into play. Bringing others with us in this most essential aspect of our believing lives will create an atmosphere that will encourage daily study of God’s Word. As Rav Sha’ul, the Apostle Paul shares with us, here we will find valuable teaching and ways for us to be convicted of our sinful behaviours and focus on walking straight in the Path.
Abba B’Shamayim, Heavenly Father, thank You for encouraging us to learn from Your Scripture, every day. B’Shem Adonai Yeshua, Mashichainu, our Messiah, Amen.
