Adonai’s Love – Kind
“So, take a good look at God’s kindness and his severity: on the one hand, severity toward those who fell off; but, on the other hand, God’s kindness toward you — provided you maintain yourself in that kindness.”
Romans 11:22
What does it mean, when we hear that Adonai is Kind? In Hebrew, the word kind is ‘chesed’. However, as we have discussed before, chesed primarily means ‘loving kindness’ and is often referred to that in many biblical translations. In its fuller sense, chesed means the devotional piety we, as His children, have for our Abba. In terms of Adonai’s love, chesed also brings with it mercy, the forgiving of our trespasses – a free gift flowing from His love. I ask you to think very carefully where we would be without Adonai’s chesed.
Abba B’Shamayim, Heavenly Father, thank you for the loving kindness and the mercy You show us, Your children, every day. We are so blessed to be Your children. B’Shem Adonai Yeshua, Mashichainu, our Messiah, Amen.
