OMER DAY 33

Adonai’s Love – Content

“Not that I am saying this to call attention to any need of mine; since, as far as I am concerned, I have learned to be content regardless of circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in want, and I know what it is to have more than enough — in everything and in every way I have learned the secret of being full and being hungry, of having abundance and being in need.”

Philippians 4:11,12

We read a good deal about our need to be content with what we have; however, what do we mean when we speak of God’s contentment? He has everything; what is His need to be content? Well, as a by-product of Adonai being self-sufficient, He is always content. He needs nothing more than what He has, now. What does that say to us? Can we be content with what we have – His love, His provisions? Frankly, what else do we need? We are His children and, as our loving Abba, He wishes us to be content with our lives. This will bring us happiness, free from the strangulations of ambition, desire and envy. This must be our goal, to be content with our lives.

Abba B’Shamayim, Heavenly Father, You have given us what we need for our daily lives. You have given each of us a unique set of gifts by which we may help the world see who You are. Thank You. B’Shem Adonai Yeshua, Mashichainu, our Messiah, Amen.
