Our Response to Adonai’s Love – Displaying Truth
“Guide me in your truth, and teach me; for you are the God who saves me, my hope is in you all day long.”
Psalm 25:5
I find it sad that so many of us have slid into a pit of falsehoods, especially when our pride or egos are challenged. And I include myself in this teaching. Have human beings ever relied on the truth, in any circumstance? I suspect not. Ever since the first sin, we have been attempting to avoid any attack, any pain to our pride. It’s almost as if pride has become our idol, to be spared at any cost.
However, Adonai knows our hearts; He knows when truth is on our lips and when we are lying. I know it saddens His Spirit to hear any lies coming from the lips of His children, as any loving parent feels that pain. How then do we respond to His love for us, when we feel the pressure? Take a deep breath and speak the truth to ourselves, first. The Lord searches every heart and understands the intention of every thought. (1 Chronicles 28:9) – don’t you think the truth is much easier? Well, it really isn’t but we can fool ourselves into thinking it is, can’t we?
Abba B’Shamayim, Heavenly Father, it saddens me that we are so prone to lie, when we are pressured. Thank you for being with us, guiding us into the truth, even though it may be difficult for us. B’Shem Adonai Yeshua, Mashichainu, our Messiah, Amen.
