OMER DAY 49

Adonai’s Love – Just

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you; don’t be distressed, for I am your God. I give you strength, I give you help, I support you with my victorious right hand.”

Isaiah 41:10

What does it mean to us that Adonai is just? A glance at an online dictionary, such as the Miriam-Webster Dictionary, reveals ‘just’ has many meanings, situated in many contexts. For example, ‘just’ may mean reasonable, proper, righteous, deserved and lawful; it may also mean exactly, barely, immediately, simply, very and possibly, amongst others. So, the context of the word ‘just’ is paramount. So, what is the context in which we state Adonai is just? When we speak of Adonai’s love as being just, we mean His love is righteous, pure, immediate and perfect. The context of this word is His relationships with each of us. Within His relationships with us, His love is just. He gives us what is reasonable, proper and deserved. Thus, indeed simultaneously, He does give us His undying love and trials to draw us closer to Him. Praised be His Beloved Name!

Abba B’Shamayim, Heavenly Father, You are just in your relationship with each of us. We have no doubt about Your love. We know You will only give us what is just in Your eyes. Thank You for Your just love. B’Shem Adonai Yeshua, Mashichainu, our Messiah, Amen.
