Omer Day 1
Accountability Overview
Moreover, I tell you this: on the Day of Judgment people will have to give account for every careless word they have spoken; for by your own words you will be acquitted, and by your own words you will be condemned.
Matthew 12:36,37.
We are all accountable to someone, at sometime. As believers, we are always accountable to Adonai Elohim, our Lord God, for our behaviours and our thoughts. At the same time, we realize we are not perfect. There is an expectation that we will fail (sin) in our actions and in our thoughts. Thus, Adonai has given us a way to accept the consequences of our moral failures, while escaping their ultimate punishment. Having acknowledged this truth, it is still incumbent upon each of us to strive to be perfect, to be aware of the model before us and to always be aware of our thoughts and our actions.
Abba B’Shamayim, Heavenly Father, thank you for having given us the Way to deal with our sins. Thank you for giving us Adonai Yeshua, the Lord Jesus, who allowed himself to be sacrificed, as the atonement for our sins. B’Shem Adonai Yeshua, Mashichainu, In the Name of our Messiah, Lord Jesus. Amen.
May you be fully and richly blessed by the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
