About

Heart For Messiah

Our Vision

Over centuries, the Body of Messiah, Christ, appears to have lost sight of its Hebraic, Biblical Roots. Perhaps this was due to the actions of the Roman Emperor Constantine or perhaps it was due to a perception the God of the Hebraic Scriptures, the Old Testament, was not the same God as the Apostolic Scriptures, the New Testament.  Whatever the reason, the Church today, with few exceptions, appears to believe the Torah, God’s Teachings through Moses, the Prophets and the Writings (together called the Tanakh) were nailed to the Cross with Adonai Yeshua, the Lord Jesus.

Our Vision, then, is to come to that time when every portion of God’s Bride understands the richness of their roots in Torah (God’s Life Instruction), Nevi’im (The Prophets) and Ketuvim (The Writings) of the Hebraic Scriptures.

Our Mission

The Mission of Heart for Messiah Ministry is to encourage, teach and counsel all those who desire to understand the breadth and depth of their Roots in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and to enrich their faith in Adonai Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah.

I

We believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible, which is therefore inerrant and infallible in the original autographs. We believe in the sole authority of the sixty-six books of the Bible (Psalm 107:11119:160Mark 7:6-13John 10:352 Timothy 3:16-17Hebrews 1:1-32 Peter 1:20-21).

II

We believe that there is one infinite and perfect God (Deuteronomy 6:4Leviticus 19:2Deuteronomy 33:27Isaiah 6:1-340:28-31Acts 17:24Psalm 90:2), eternally existing in three distinct and equal persons-the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each possesses the characteristics of personality as well as the nature and perfections of deity (Matthew 28:19-20John 1:1-315:2616:12-15Colossians 1:15-20Hebrews 1:1-4).

III

We believe that God is sovereign and created all things for his glory (Genesis 1-2Job 38-41Psalm 19:1-4Isaiah 37:16Jeremiah 10: 11-12Romans 4:17Hebrews 11:3).

IV

We believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image and likeness (Genesis 1-2). Through Adam’s sin, all people are born guilty before God with a nature in rebellion against him (Genesis 3Romans 3:10-18, 235:12-21Ephesians 2:1-3).

V

We believe that God made an everlasting and irrevocable covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Genesis 12:1-315:9-2117:1-8). It includes the unconditional election of Israel as God’s chosen people, the gift of the land of Israel, and the promise of the Messiah through whom all the families of the earth will be blessed (2 Samuel 7:6-16Jeremiah 31:23-40Romans 9-11Galatians 3:6-4:7).

VI

We believe that God the Son preexisted as the eternal Word, took on human nature, and was known as Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah (John 1:1-18). We believe in His full deity (Isaiah 9:6-7John 10:3020:28Acts 2:14-36Colossians 2:9), His virgin conception (Isaiah 7:14Matthew 1:18-25Luke 1:34-35), His full humanity (Hebrews 2:14-184:15), and His sinless life (2 Corinthians 5:21Hebrews 4:157:261 Peter 2:22 [Isaiah 53:9]).

We believe Adonai Yeshua, Jesus, the Messiah revealed the mind of God (Deuteronomy 18:15Acts 3:22-24Matthew 13:57John 1:18Hebrews 1:1-4), offered Himself once and for all as the only atoning, substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of humanity (Hebrews 4:14-5:107:1-39:6-10:181 John 2:2Revelation 1:5), and continues to intercede for His people (Romans 8:34Hebrews 7:259:24). As the risen Messiah, He exercises divine authority from God’s right hand and will return to reign (2 Samuel 7:12-16Matthew 2:1-11Luke 1:32-33Acts 2:30-36).

VII

We believe in the full deity and personality of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19Acts 5:3-4Ephesians 4:30). He bears witness to Yeshua through the Word of God (John 14:25-2716:131 Corinthians 2:10-11). He convicts (John 16:7-11), regenerates individuals (John 3:3-5), and baptizes them into the Body of Messiah (1 Corinthians 6:1112:13Titus 3:5). He indwells, fills, guides, helps, gifts, and produces in believers the fruit of the Spirit (John 14:15-211 Corinthians 6:19Ephesians 1:13-145:18). We believe that no particular gift is given to every believer (Romans 12:6-81 Corinthians 12:1-31Ephesians 4:11).

VIII

We believe that salvation for both Jews and Gentiles is available only through Jesus and His finished work (John 14:6Acts 4:12). This salvation is a gift from God, received through faith alone and not by works (John 10:28-30Romans 8:28-30Ephesians 2:8-9Romans 3:21-4:25Hebrews 13:5). True believers in Messiah are sealed by the Spirit for the day of redemption (Ephesians 1:13-14).

IX

We believe that the Church is comprised of both Jews and Gentiles who have accepted Adonai Yeshua, Jesus, as the promised deliverer (Ephesians 2:11-3:6). Gentiles who have come to faith in Messiah Jesus are fellow heirs in the kingdom of God with Jewish believers (Ephesians 3:6Galatians 3:1-4:6). This belief in the universal body of Messiah encourages both Jews and Gentiles to live together in unity (Acts 14:2315:24-28Romans 14:1-15:21Colossians 2:16-23Hebrews 10:24-25). We also affirm the right of individual congregations to express their cultural diversity and the importance of Gentiles reaching out to Jewish people in evangelism as part of their call from God (1 Corinthians 9:20-21).

X

We believe that Messiah will return to earth to reign from Israel over the millennial kingdom (Daniel 9:27Matthew 24:29-31Mark 13:24-27; Luke 21:25-271 Thessalonians 1:102 Thessalonians 2Revelation 20:1-6). When all His enemies are put under his feet, He will hand over the Kingdom to the Father (1 Corinthians 15:20-28).

We believe that the final state of those who have trusted in Messiah will be eternal bliss in the presence of God. We believe that the eternal state of those who have not trusted in Messiah will be one of conscious suffering in hell (Matthew 25:46John 3:362 Thessalonians 1:8-92 Peter 3:13Revelation 14:1120:11-1521:1-22:6).
